Alice, Jason, David, Jasmine, Ali, Alan, Jun---seven people are the plants researcher, they decide to conduct a research at the forest for a week.

During the journey horrible things happened, three of them were killed, two of them were missing in the mountain; Alice and Jason found the reason that the forest spirit trapped them to flee, when they will be killed, they heard the sound of a helicopter.

When they are rescued, they come to realize that they have been trapped in the deep forest for three years.

27/5 hari itu merupakan hari public screening yang dianjurkan oleh pelajar yang mengambil course seni pengarahan film. Pada pukul 8.30, semua audien sudah berkumpul di tempat amphitheatre alam bina. Audien kita bukan sahaja dari pelajar produksi, public screening adalah terbuka kepada semua orang terutama untuk pelajar fakulti lain.

Pada pukul lebih kurang 9:30pm, screening bermula 14 buah film pendek ditayangkan. Selepas habis tayangan, slot mencabut hadiah, makanan dan pertukaran hadiah dijalankan antara pelajar yang membawa hadiah masing-masing.

Bagi saya, saya berasa amphitheatre alam bina merupakan satu tempat yang mempunyai suasana yang baik untuk memberi tayangan kerana tempat ini besar dan selesa, macam berada di pawagam.

 Last week, we have process the rehearsal shooting in two plan. One is Dr. Azalan plan，other is our group plan. After finish the shooting, we need to do the editing work ,then decide which plan we going to use. 

 

20/4 we have a 

production

 meeting on the Thursday. Every group must have a presenter to present our idea and what we had done for last week. after present, Dr. Azilan will ask us to give some opinion so that we can improve our work. Shinno Lim is the presenter in our group. when shen finish give her speech, syazwan had give us a opinion about the zoom in and zoom out the lens. he suggest us to use trolley to move the camera lens.

Screening Night 2014 （Reveiw） Week 12

       

           

      Tema bagi screening night tahun ini adalah wintage and bowtie. Dinner dimulakan pada 8:15 pm dengan ucapan pengerusi majlis ini dan seterusnya prof. Azizah turuf memberi ucapan yang menyatakan majlis ini sangat berjaya dan bermakna.

        Selepas memberi ucapan, majlis mula bertayang video yang dihasil oleh setiap kumpulan. Bagi saya, saya lebih suka jalan cerita "petonah" kerana ia mengisahkan hubungan seorang inspekter baru dengan penduduk tempatan dengan cara yang kelakar. Selain itu, jalan cerita "bomoh" juga menarik perhatian saya, secara peribadi, saya amat menghargai lakonan mereka, tetapi cara shooting mungkin terdapat sedikit masalah dalam terlalu banyak zoom in dan zoon out, hal ini menyebabkan video pendek itu mengandungi terlalu banyak shot yang mungkin akan conflict audience. Tambahan, short film "Epilogue"memang sempurna dari segi composition camera, lighting, editing dan prop and Art, tetapi suara pelakon susah nak dengan jelas disebabkan loghat yang berat, jadi saya mencadangkan meletak subtitle. 

          Secara rumusanya, majlis ini berjalan dengan lancar. Makanan dan service sangat memuaskan.

When the lecture come to week 10, we all have to pitching idea for short film. we only have 3 sentence to present our idea. mu original scipt is about a girl who have a natural power, she can through touching your skin and read your memory . But it seem similar with other film so i just drop this idea and start to think for other one.

           The Sixth Sense/1999/M. Night. Shyamalan

1. Siapakah M. Night. Shyamalan dan bincangkan gaya pengarahan beliau secara umum.

M. Night. Shyamalan born in 6/8/1970, is a Indian-born American film screen writer, director, producer, and actor. M. Night. Shyamalan is the son of two doctor. But he did follow his parents foot step. his passion for filmmaking began when he was given a super-8 camera at age eight. In 1999’s The Sixth Sense, the film was starring by Bruce Willis and Haley Jool Osment.

In my think, His shooting style is focus on the ending part, he always put the surprise at the final part movie.  The director very attention to the storyline details, and then focus on ending climax, because he want to form the story step by step, to done all the preparation for the last moment.

2. Sila rumuskan dalam satu perenggan synopsis filem The Sixth Sense.

Malcom (Bruce Willis) is a distinguished family child psychologist, he was help a lof of children back to the right track. Because of this, he also won the government recognition. Unexpectedly, one of his child patient before, break into the malcom’s house, and then shot him, and then committed suicide. One year later, Malcom doctor face again the similar case. He decide to try again, the child name Cole (Haley Jool Osment). Cole has Ying Yang eyes, long suffering with the ghost problem, he can see the dead people all the time, so he was very afraid. Malcom want to help him but Cole don’t want to acceptable because he think no one can help him run from his destiny. But with the continuously effort by Malcom doctor, Cole finally let the doctor know his fear------“I CAN SEE DEAD PEOPLE”. In the treatment, Malcom found communication problem with his wife, and his wife seen to have an affair. So, Malcom face two challenges, job and marriage. With the accompanied by Malcom, Cole successfully helped a little girl to exposing her secret of death. Finally, Cole told Malcom, he can try to communicate with his wife when she is sleep. When he talked to his wife, he also recall back his memory that he was already dead in the reality.

3. The Sixth Sense adalah sebuah filem dalam genre drama (tragedy) berbanding horror. Apakah kelainan yang cuba ditonjolkan oleh M.Night Shyamalan dalam filem ini?

The sixth sense is a genre film if comparing with horror film. This film full with of deep affection, because of this unique, its difficult to be classified in any type of horror film. In a small plot, Cole had twice asked his mother the same question.  Cole looked disturbed at his mother and asked her:

“You think I’m a freak?”

“Look at my eyes, I would never think that about you, ever! got it?”

Cole feel very relieved, his eyes were sparking: “got it.”

4. Bincangkan watak dan perwatakan dalam filem ini dan bagaimana ia menyumbang kepada kesan plot cerita?

In the “The Sixth Sense”, there has two main character. Malcom doctor (Bruce Willis) and Cole (Haley Jool Osment). In my opinion, he is a very good at acting and participating in many movie role. The climax of the film can be successful because of his acting. In the last part of the film, the way he look at his wife, the way he talk to her and his deep feeling of expression won applause from the audience. In the last scence, he recall back he was already death, his expression start to become surprise, fear and despair.

Cole (Haley Jool Osment) only 9-10 year old, but really good in acting. In one part: “I CAN SEE DEAD PEOPLE”….when he curled up in the yard, with a trembling voice and tell the secret to his trusted doctor Malcom. His eyes filled with tears, his expression show him very fear and nervous to talk about the most horrible thing in the world.

5. Bincangkan kepentingan konsep twits dalam penulisan skrip filem ini.     

                       

In my opinion, concept twist is very important in the writing script film “The Sixth Sense” because its can add more emotion to the plot, for example, more terror, tension, and mystery. The director is use this concept to let the film ending achieved the climax so that the audience will been keeping refresh about the story.

Never Been Kissed

“All of you people, there is a big world out there... bigger than prom, bigger than high school and it won't matter if you were the prom queen, the quarterback of the football team, or the biggest nerd in school. Find out who you are and try not to be afraid of it.”

The sentence is what she ---Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore) say in the prom night. when Gibby, Kirsten and Kristen nearly pour dog food over Aldys, Josie knocks the can away from Aldys and spills dog food over the three girls. She angrily warns the students that who you were in high school means nothing outside in the real world and urges them to be themselves. She want to say about inside the high school they may be a very famous person, very cool and have many friends but this does not mean that in the outside world they can do anything they want. They are many challenges in life, we should not be afraid of it and bully the weaker to show your ability.

Fond de l'Etang is a boarding school fortroubled boys located in the French countryside. In the mid-twentieth century, it is run by  The principal, M. Rachin.

M. Clément Mathieu, a middle-aged man. new supervisor to the school. Mathieu does not believe in the "action - reaction" policy. Slowly, Mathieu's approach of trying to match the discipline to the crime does have a positive effect on a handful of students. With the reluctant approval of Rachin, Mathieu begins a grander experiment of trying to transform the overall atmosphere within the school, core within the experiment being to start a choir among his students. This move is a difficult one for him as a failed musician, as well as for the initially reluctant students.

Pépinot, a younger boy, seems to lack guidance and focus, and who always says he is waiting for Saturday when his father will pick him up, he who never does. 

Pierre Morhange, an older student, is the anachronism: introverted, but prone to outbursts of individual subversiveness - the devil with the face of an angel as the other teachers describe him. Behind the reason for his subversiveness, which Mathieu slowly learns, Morhange hides a love of music and a true talent in it.

M. Rachin, The principal in the Fond de l'Etang school,who was an egotistical disciplinarian whose official unofficial mantra for the school is "action - reaction", meaning that there will be severe consequences for any boy out of line.

Back at the beginning, a dress rehearsal for a wedding is taking place. The Bride leaves thechapel to get some fresh air. On the front porch she finds Bill sitting on a bench playing hisbamboo flute. She asks him to be nice and she introduces Bill to her fiancé as her father. Outside the chapel, four armed assassins appear. In one line they move to the door, they enter, and the shooting starts, killing everybody inside except for the Bride and Bill.

Bill visits his younger brother Budd to warns him about the Bride. She will kill Budd if Budd does not allow Bill to protect him. After back from work, Budd returns to his trailer. The Bride, who was hiding under the trailer, sticks to the wall so he does not see her. When she opens the door Budd shoots her in the chest with a shotgun loaded with rock salt. He phones Elle Driver  and offers to sell her the Bride's Hattori Hanzo sword for a million dollars. Elle agrees to bring the money in the morning. Budd and an accomplice dig a large hole in the ground in which they plan to bury the wounded Bride alive. The Bride panics for a short time and recalls her training under Pai Mei.

In a flashback, Bill bring Bride to learned kungfu from Pai Mei. Pai Mei threatens to chop her hand off with a single blow and declares that her hand belongs to him and she must strengthen it. Over the next several weeks, the Bride works hard and learns hard. Back to the present. Still in the coffin, she hits the coffin lid with her fist repeatedly. The lid becomes smeared with her blood but it finally cracks. 

Elle enters the trailer and gives Budd a red suitcase full of money. He opens the suitcase, gloats over the money, and is struck in the face by a venomous black mamba snake that was hidden among the bundles of cash. 
Beatrix walks in and immediately attacks Elle. Rather than finish killing Elle, Beatrix leaves the trailer.The Bride visits the courtly retired pimp Esteban Vihaio Bill's old mentor, and asks him to tell her where Bill is. He finally agrees because he thinks Bill would surely like to see her.

She enters Bill's hacienda carefully, a gun in her hand, but is shocked to the point of tears when Bill and their small daughter B.B. alive, both play-shoot at her with toy guns. She spends good time with her daughter, who falls asleep. The Bride goes to speak to Bill. They agree to fight with swords on the beach -- then Bill suddenly attacks her as they sit on hispatio. At the climax of a brief skirmish during which both remain seated, she strikes him with the five-point-palm-exploding-heart technique. She tells Bill that she did not mention that Pai Mei taught her the technique because she is a bad person. Bill disputes that. They share an affectionate farewell before he takes five steps and falls down dead. Beatrix takes her daughter away to start a new life.

director journal week 8&9

Week 8. After sem-break, we have to prepare our production shooting (PSA). We already booking the date on Friday18/4 to finish the shooting, but unfortunately we cannot finish on time so we had to extend to the next day Saturday 19/4.

In the shooting, we do not have much big problem because we have already go through the rehearsal shooting before sem-break. But the real shooting has something difference with the rehearsal shooting.

The script was difference, we have combine the script which our group idea and the dr. plan. Besides that, we also add three more screen to plenitude the storyline.

In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Act 1 is about the context of the world where they live in, the major character of the story are introduced, and the conflict that will move the story forward. In Act I, the writer has the freedom to create any setting and reality that he so wishes. This early in the script, anything is possible.

The story beginning with the In 1979, Deputy Sheriff Jack Lamb and his 14-year-old son Joe, mourn the death of his wife Elizabeth in a steel mill accident. Four months later, Joe's best friend Charles Kaznyk decides to make a low-budget zombie movie for an international film competition. Charles enlists the help of Preston , Martin, and Cary, as well as Alice. they decide to shooting at a train depot using a passing train to add authenticity. While filming,  an accident was happened and cause the place blooming. Lucky , they didn't have any injured. later, they found the truck's driver is Dr. Woodward who is their biology teacher. Dr. Woodward warning them to forget what they saw that night, or else their parents will be killed. 

Act II is the hardest one to squeeze out. This happens because after the initial boost of anew story, the writer is left without plot elements to introduce. The story, its characters and conflict are all established.

All the dogs run away, several towns people go missing, and electronics from all over are stolen. at the same time, Alice is quarrel with her father and run away from house, suddenly  abducted by the creature. At the base, Joe learns from her father that Alice is missing, possibly abducted by the creature. Joe, Charles, Martin, and Cary find a hole in the base's fence and slip back into town, intent on rescuing Alice. They play the film and found that Woodward was one of the scientists experimenting which reveal that an alien. Martin is injured in an explosion, so Charles stays behind with him while Joe and Cary head to the cemetery.  In a chamber beneath the town's water tower, they find the alien has created a device from the town's stolen electronics, and it's attached to the base of the tower.

Act III presents the final confrontation of the movie, followed by the dénouement. This act is usually the shortest in length, the main character is face to face with the villain or just about.

The alien also has several of the people, including Alice, hanging from the ceiling and unconscious. Using Cary's firecrackers as a distraction Joe frees Alice and the other people, but the alien chases them down. Joe steps forward and tries to talk to the alien. The alien finally opens his eyes, which seem to have been sealed shut to his time in captivity and looks at Joe and releases him.As they reunite with their fathers, everyone watches as metal objects from all over town are magnetically pulled to the top of the water tower. The locket that used to belong to Joe's mom is also drawn towards the tower and Joe, after a brief moment, lets it go. finally the alien ship done, and back to its own planet.

Lizzie McGuire is a teenager graduating from Junior high school, and eager to find adventures in Rome, Italy on a School trip. Upon arriving there, she discovers that she is the identical spitting image of an Italian beauty who is half of a famous pop duo. Meeting Paulo, the other half of the duo, she is reeled into posing as Isabella on what becomes a journey of self-discovery. This film has an interesting beginning, because it can attracted people keep watching at the last. At the beginning of Lizzie McGuire the Movie, the style of the directing film by using animated Lizzie to reflect a live-action character's innermost thoughts. Lizzie McGuire, the main character will never be a quiet girl, does not make you a little bit boring time.

The film as a comedy most obvious difference lies in other films, the director very well in using humor brisk narrative to attracted audience. In the first scene, Lizzie McGuire’s young brother want to spy his sister by using remote control car.  Then focus to the character Lizzie is dancing and singing in his room like a singer. Her antics and facial expressions to let the audience have a desire to continue watching.
